He’s here! Just a few short weeks ago—seems like yesterday—I was taking Jessica’s maternity photos. Now, baby Teague has made his grand debut into the world. At just 2.5 weeks old, he rocked his very first photo session. This handsome little man knew all the right newborn poses: sleeping, snuggling, and being adorable. He could easily be a newborn model. 😉
Catching Up with Old Friends
I was so excited to see this dear family back in my studio. I love catching up and hearing about how the delivery went. As a mom myself, I always enjoy hearing about other mothers’ experiences. It’s such a special time, and every story is as unique as the family. As usual, they looked phenomenal. In addition to Teague’s newborn photos, we also did some family portraits. Teague has an amazing three-year-old sister named Taylor, and I wanted to make sure to get several sibling photos. Taylor may be young, but she looked so confident in her new role as big sister. She cradled baby Teague and whispered so softly to him, making sure not to jolt him awake. I have no doubt their bond will grow stronger with each passing year. As they get older, I’m sure sibling squabbles will ensue, but that’s a sign of closeness, right?
I’m in love with the themes Mom and Dad chose for Teague’s newborn photos. With it being so close to Valentine’s Day, we picked out a charming tree prop filled with little red hearts. The natural brown color of the tree and simple hearts made it just right for the day of love without seeming too feminine. One of my more recent favorites, especially for baby boys, is the nighttime moon and stars backdrop. Newborns fit so snuggly in the curve of the quarter moon shape as they drift off to dreamland. The navy color really pops against the creamy white. And I can’t forget to mention the baby koala knit outfit! Teague made the cutest koala I have ever seen! After doing a few whimsical winter scenes, we finished up with some more simple, classic newborn photos (great for timeless memoir books).
I enjoyed this magical session filled with an array of fun themes for baby Teague. Welcome, little one!
