Meet sweet baby girl Mila! This little bundle of joy only weighed 6.14 pounds and was 20 inches long. I really wanted to capture how tiny she was at this time because they grow so quickly. I always tell new mommies to get their babies to me within the first couple weeks of birth. They will be surprised with how much their looks change within just the first month. Every mom just wants to go back in time and hold their little baby again. So I wanted mom, Sandra, to be able to have these images to look back on for a lifetime. Mila's Sweet Smile
I wanted to capture every detail of Mila. From her full head of hair down to each little wrinkle. I was lucky enough that she ended up sleeping through the entire session, and didn’t even budge whenever I moved her from pose to pose. No tears here! She just looked so cozy and like a little angel the entire time. I couldn’t get enough of her pouty lip and little smirks she kept giving me. Mom and I couldn’t help but to ooh and awe over her!
When mom requested that we do an enchanted theme, I was all for it because I knew that the images would not only be perfect for a nursey, but family and friends would be wanting them for her as well! I gathered all of my colorful props that included flowers, butterflies, greenery, and anything girly. I wrapped Mila up in several different colors of material, and she was snug as a bug – literally a bundle of joy!
A Bundle of Joy
Newborn sessions are always one of my favorites, and this one was just as exciting as all of the others ones. You never know what to expect with little babies, and even though it can sometimes be a challenge, the reward of seeing these images come to life is well worth all of the hard work. This session, was extra fun to edit because of all of the bright colors and props that were involved.
