This was Baby Leo’s 100-day old baby photo session. Although every birthday is special to the Chinese, the 100-day old birthday is especially special, and it is a traditional Chinese birthday celebration. Long ago, childhood diseases were very common in China, so the survival rate for children was very low. In order to protect their children, parents refrained from taking their babies outdoors until the 100^th day after his or her birth, and that was also when their babies were introduced to neighbors, friends, and relatives. Therefore, it is a hugely momentous moment in the Chinese culture when their babies reach their 100^th day in the world.

Leo was such a happy little one all throughout the session, and he did such a great job! Just look at that big, beautiful smile! Too cute! He was absolutely handsome in every outfit we put him in, and he rocked all the props and backdrops. He smiled, giggled, played, and at the age of three months, he was so strong and healthy. He was so very active, and he could hold his head up on his own while lying on his tummy for almost an entire hour. We realized that the tummy pose was his favorite, most likely because he is very curious and in this pose, he is able to look around and investigate all his surroundings.
