Having the newborn session within the first two weeks of birth is much more important than skin color in the grand scheme of things. So I was so relieved whenever she felt better about doing it right away. They grow so quickly, so I always try to encourage mommies to bring them to me ASAP. You can’t go back in time to capture this sweet moment again. The results turned out amazing, and Leyla was so happy that she trusted the power of photoshop!
About Watt's Newborn Session
After sitting down with mom, we both agreed that a nature theme would be the perfect fit for this little guy. These simple, yet eye catching props, always allow the spotlight to be on the baby. And brings out all of their little features. My favorite scene was the one where I wrapped him up in brown fabric and placed him in this little nest that I have at the studio. He looked so peaceful, almost like a little bird!
By the time we got to the third scene, he did get a little fussy as we moved him from pose to pose. But overall I managed to get a few smiles out of him. Finally, he fell right back asleep. All of these images are going to look breathtaking lined up next to each other in his nursery. I just know that anyone who sees them will have a big smile on their faces! I was so honored to be a part of this exciting time in this family’s life, and I hope to see them both again soon – maybe for a fun one year old birthday session!
