These timeless maternity portrait shots were taken in Washington DC, on an absolutely gorgeous sunny day. The momma-to-be is expecting her third baby and was accompanied by her husband and 2 kiddos. Samrawit is the very definition of an expectant mama with a gorgeous pregnancy glow. Her husband, Beruk, was also glowing. But with pride for the strength and beauty of his wife. Bethany and Noah are so excited to welcome their newest little one into the mix of siblings. We started our session outdoors, matching Bethany and her mom in gorgeous flowing crimson gowns. The way Bethany looks up to her mom is so touching. You can clearly tell she is her number one fan. We picked a secluded trail surrounded by lush forest to highlight the natural beauty of our surroundings and this family. Samrawit changed into a bright pink mermaid gown, complete with a pink floral headband. Of course Bethany matched and they were complemented by Noah and Beruk in classic white button down shirts.
After we were happy with our outdoor collection, it was time to head indoors. My favorite dress from this session has to be the blush flowing gown. The way it ruffled in the wind once we moved into the studio was so angelic. it highlighted the elegant beauty and changes that a mom’s body goes through.
