Oh, just look at this sweet baby girl. She is just as beautiful as her beautiful name, Nikita. Nikita was just 14 days new in these photos, and I had such a lovely time photographing her for her home newborn photo session.
With a car full of backdrops and props for the session, my assistant and I arrived early that morning to Nikita’s lovely home in Ashburn. It was so dark outside because of a heavy thunderstorm that was on its way. So I was so thankful for the newer technology of my professional equipment that allowed me to photograph without any additional lighting. Several years ago, that would’ve been a different story! Although it took a while for Nikita to fall asleep, once she did, we were able to move her from pose to pose easily. We changed up the backdrops and props to create some varied and beautiful photos.
About this Session
Nikita looked like a beautiful fairy in an enchanted forest with the butterfly prop and green, grassy backdrop. I loved the air balloon prop! She looked so sweet and peaceful as she slept. When Nikita’s parents told me about how they wanted to incorporate the traditional, Indian sari that Mom had worn on her wedding day, I couldn’t have been more excited! I love incorporating items with such sentimental value in my collections. What a great idea! The sari was absolutely gorgeous. When we laid it over Nikita, a soft, sweet smile appeared upon her adorable face.
What a joy this little one was to photograph! Her parents and family were so sweet and had such a strong love their new, little one. I’m so happy for them, and I was so happy and honored to capture such an exciting time in their lives for them.
What a precious angel! I adored the afternoon spent in her sweet company.
