About this sleeping beauty
This little beauty reminded me of delicate princess as she slept soundly on a tiny doll bed with layers of frills and lace beneath her, making me think of that silly old fairytale. She may not have noticed a pea in her deep sleep, but it’s easy to see that baby Dhrithi is certainly sweet enough to be royalty.
Dhrithi’s mother, Gayathri, is also a stunning woman, and I did her maternity session just a couple short months ago. I loved meeting her and capturing the different phases of this first-time parent experience for her. When I got the message that her baby girl had finally arrived, I could not wait to meet her and see Gayathri again. Both mom and baby are doing great, and Dhrithi came in for her very first photoshoot at just nine days old!
Her mom loves florals, so we did a variety of portraits using just about every color of delicate flower. Baby’s soft skin and dark hair really looked lovely with the purple hues. She looked so precious resting in a wreath hanging from a tree bough. The wreath had intertwining wisteria blooms, and her purple swaddle matched the hanging flowers. This colorful one would be great for decorating a blank wall! We also took a few whimsical photos of her resting on a lily pad and vibrant butterflies landing on her small back as she slept. I also made sure to get a classic portrait of Mom, Dad, and Baby together. They looked so in love and so complete. What a magical moment!
I loved capturing these sweet pictures of their perfect baby girl, and I hope they become the timeless heirlooms they were looking for.
