At my photography studio in Arlington, Virginia, I welcome expecting mothers to share their most glamorous maternity visions. Pregnancy is such a sweet – and short – time of eager anticipation, lots of growth, and exciting changes. After meeting many expecting couples, I’ve noticed that pregnancy seems to bring couples together in such a sweet way. I want to capture the essence of their beauty and their closeness of the couple in addition to highlighting the bump. These aren’t just bump pictures, they are so much more! When Larsharvea and her husband contacted me about putting together a glamorous maternity session, I couldn’t wait to hear what they had in mind. They are expecting their first child together – a baby girl! Larsharvea is such a beautiful maternity model, and their stunning poses filled my lens. They wanted a few couple’s portraits together, but these weren’t just your average couple’s photos. They wanted to spice it up with a little romance – a true reflection of their closeness as husband and wife. They weren’t shy, and I absolutely love how these came out. These are special memories that they two of them can look back on over the years. There’s no doubt this love they have for each other will overflow into their love for their precious little girl. I’m certain they will be amazing parents, and I can’t wait for their little princess to arrive!
We also did some lovely light and airy maternity images. This beautiful mother-to-be dressed in elegant white lace, and she posed in front of the soft natural light coming in through the windows. The all-white photos look so bright and joyful – a perfect reflection of how they’re feeling as they wait to meet their little girl.
Then, she dressed in a vibrant pink gown that looked amazing with her beautiful skin complexion and perfectly accentuated her bump. We headed outside to a field of green for a breath of fresh air and a few more stunning portraits.
I’m so glad they picked a diverse collection of background, poses, and attire for their session. I think they’ll love having some they can share with others and some that are extra special and meaningful to just the two of them.
