Christmas Baby Studio Session | A Christmas Cutie

Look at all that hair!  This sweet little girl is sure to be the envy of every other little girl’s mom.  It is so fun to dress up a little girl and accessorize with fun bows and headbands.  Everything we put in cute’s hair looked so sweet against her raven colored locks.  She has the most adorable full cheeks, too.  She is a healthy little cutie.  I love seeing those soft baby rolls in a newborn session.  I am sure Mom and Dad hear about them everywhere they go, but it is because they are so cute! The Sweetest Christmas Princess

Cadie was the sweetest little princess throughout her newborn session.  She made my job as her baby photographer a breeze.  We had lots of ideas for fun outfits and backgrounds for the little sweet pea and she was more than happy to roll right along with the plan.  I was honored to have the family in my studio.  They came all the way from Maryland, I was obviously thrilled to be their choice of Washington Baby Photographer.  We had fun with props, outfits, and backgrounds.  It was important for us to capture some images that reflected the fact that she was a winter baby, born around Christmas time.

I had a great time coming up with adorable and unique ideas to capture this theme.  She slumbered sweetly as we swaddled her and celebrated her first Christmas, with an adorable Santa hat, and surrounded her with some Christmas creatures.  Her pals included reindeer, snowmen, puffin and other winter woodland creatures.  We moved on to another Christmas inspired look that I think was precious.  What better way to depict the holiday season than with an ode to everyone’s favorite reindeer of all?  We kept Cadie cuddled up in the same swaddle and traded her Santa Hat for a Rudolph beanie, making sure to add a sweet red bow to one of the antlers.  She was the most adorable little red-nosed reindeer I had ever seen.

Cadie was a joy to capture.  It was hard to believe she was only twenty days old! She is a beauty!  I felt very special that her family chose to come in from out of town, and chose me as their DC Photographer.  Although the majority of the session was about solo images of their sweet princess, I always love the moment that we capture the family all together.  Babies are such a blessing and being able to preserve those early days is special.  Next thing you know, it will be time to schedule a cake smash session for her first birthday.  It is hard to imagine, but time really does fly.
