There’s nothing like the look on a new mom and dad’s face as they stare into the eyes of their brand new baby. Such was the case with little Kennedy here. When she came into my studio to see me for her first of many sessions (I hope), she was only seven short days old. Slumbering Sweet Kennedy

Mom and dad wanted a feminine approach to this session, and that’s exactly what we did! I love the shot of baby Kennedy soundly sleeping in the floral swings, slumbering on a floating lily pad, and nestled in a basket full of curly, soft warm wool. Adding textural elements such as these two newborn sessions creates such a beautiful contrast. The juxtaposition of the different textures along with their delicate newborn skin makes my creative heart sing!

I was lucky enough to capture a few giggles and grins from this sweet newborn. She was an absolute angel of a model. She slept the entire time as we transitioned her from pose to pose, never making a peep. We even changed her outfit a number of times, but she was a photographer’s dream throughout the entire session. I think my favorite image is of Kennedy’s daddy holding her in his arms, nestling his nose close to hers. There’s such a huge grin on her face as she enjoying the warm snuggles in her father’s arms. There’s not much more sweet in our world than the bond between a father and his baby girl. I am so thankful to have been able to capture these precious first memories for Kennedy and her parents.
