Although many of us feel like we just swallowed a watermelon during the third trimester – at least, I felt that way – I want expecting mothers to see that radiant glow on themselves that everyone else around them sees. When Chule first contacted me, she let me know that she wanted glamor-style portraits, but she loved the idea of both indoor and outdoor session – so we did both!
For the outdoor part of the shoot, we went to a cool, wooded area surrounded by lush greenery and sprawling shade trees. It looked like something from a fairy tale. She chose a dress with a full skirt that almost looked like it was floating above the ground – so dreamy. She chose blue and green color palettes to represent their baby boy.
As it began to warm up, we went back inside the refreshing studio for lots of light and airy photos. Chule switched into a beautiful pink gown that looked like it was designed with her in mind. It accentuated her precious bump perfectly. We had amazing light for her session, and one of my favorite shots is of Chule and her husband standing together as the natural light shone softly around them. I adorned her head with a band of pink roses to complement her dress. Chule has such striking eyes and features. I absolutely loved having her as a model in my studio. You would think she was a professional!
And finally, we did a few more natural, relaxed poses of Chule in a sheer, light green dress, showing off her bump from the side. She seemed so calm, peaceful, and confident – just the look I was hoping to capture for her.
I couldn’t be more excited for this lovely couple as they are about to embark on a new journey together. It’s easy to see in the way they love each other that this little boy will be surrounded in warmth and abounding love from the moment he makes his first cry! Congratulations to this growing family! I think every man should spoil every woman who will be the first time momma to be treated special. For 9 months, it seems like a lot of sacrifice has to be made, especially those who really care about the drastic changes in their bodies :).

This is a trend now women with baby bumps are challenging the traditional definition of beauty. It is subjective sure but to me carrying a life can be very very beautiful as well. Wow!!!
The blue one is the best shot!!! For me in my opinion. It must be the vibe. Got to be honest though, I never thought that being pregnant will look so beautiful. That will be my pick but all photos are good as well.
