The arrival of a new family member brings some changes to the family dynamics, but big sister Hailey could not have been prouder to introduce her new baby brother to the world. She is just 3.5 years old, but she already takes her big sister role seriously. I love when families incorporate sibling photos into their newborn sessions. Handsome little Liam came to my studio with the rest of his happy family when he was just eleven days old. At birth, he was 7 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches long, and the sweetest thing you ever did see. His Mom, Jaclyn, wanted a variety of styles in their newborn collection. Since many little boys end up loving all kinds of locomotion, we incorporated a few airplane and truck sets. The knit vintage flying helmet and goggles is one of my favorite outfits for little boys!
We also did a few classic newborn poses with more neutral sets. He looked so peaceful snoozing away in the little teddy bear swaddling blanket and cap. And Liam even opened his bright eyes for one of the photos with the grey blanket and little white flowers. He was curious and wanted to take in everything that was around him – he even showed off a little smirk. Liam’s tiny toes are so cute in this picture, and you can imagine him wiggling all around just by looking at the photo. He was so precious!
After Liam’s time in the spotlight, big sister Hailey was ready to join the fun, and she enjoyed posing for the camera with her little brother. At first, she was a little hesitant about the camera, but she quickly warmed up and displayed that beautiful smile of hers. She wore a gorgeous blue and white teal dress with matching floral headband in honor of her little brother. After she saw the airplane set, she was fascinated and wanted to get in on the action, too, so I took a candid shot of her examining Liam’s tiny flight “gear.”
And last but not least, we had to get in some first family portraits of the four of them. They just looked so happy in this blissful stage of life. I know the nights are long, and the days can be hard, but the amount of joy in their home surpasses it all! Congratulations on this family’s newest addition!
