When it comes to photography, newborns are my favorites to capture. I love the delicacy of their fresh features and the innocence of their sleeping faces. So much potential and possibility fills their future. Documenting the first moments of their presence here in our big wide world will always be a beautiful experience for me as a newborn photographer.
When I first met little Michael, he was only 11 short days old. He was joined by his two-year-old sister and loving mama. The bond that these two siblings will inevitably make will certainly be one for the books. Although there will be arguments and silly fights, they will forever have a friend that they can entirely rely on and run to.
The Beauty of a Big Sister
It was so adorable to see the way his big sister tenderly cared for him. We made sure to get a few group shots as well as singles of little Michael by himself. One of my favorite images of him was resting his sleepy head on an antique plane soaring into the sky. It makes me think of the endless possibilities for his future.
We started the newborn aspect of our session by placing Michael in various positions and locations that accented his tiny body perfectly. I try and incorporate multiple elements of each season into my newborn sessions so that there is always an appropriate option for any time of year. Textural elements make my creative heart sing. The contrast of a fluffy swaddling blanket paired with the delicate newness of Michael skin was the perfect addition to this idea like newborn session.
There is no doubt in my mind That this family is future will be filled with endless love, abounding laughter, and beautiful moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. The opportunity to capture a few of those moments during this session was an incredible honor. Thank you so much for allowing if you document this precious time in your family’s life.
