Maternity & Newborn Session

Oh, I am so in love with how this shoot turned out! We combined both maternity and couple’s portraits with newborn portraits once baby boy arrived, so this collection of sweet photos truly tells the full story. I had the pleasure of getting to know Belilta and Larson when they came in for the maternity half of their session during her third trimester. Their love story is incredible. She’s from Ethiopia, and he is a distinguished member of the US military. Their journeys converged, and the love they have for one another is inspiring. I absolutely loved capturing it for them in these intimate photos as they anticipated their little one’s arrival. In addition to capturing some gorgeous photos of her baby bump as she posed gracefully in lace, I took several portraits for the two of them. This is such a special time in their family’s story, and I love that they took time to document it to enjoy for years to come.

And can I just say, Belilta should be a model! She is naturally stunning, and these poses came effortlessly. To say she had the pregnancy glow is an understatement (although, she still looked just as radiant even after their sweet boy was born). Sleepless nights have nothing on her.

Baby boy was born around Christmas time, and he was seven pounds and twenty inches of pure perfection. I couldn’t wait to get them back in the studio to catch up and see how they were doing – and meet their adorable little man, of course! He was the most perfect blend of the two of them. In honor of his holiday birthday, we captured a few snow-themed portraits. The reindeer sleigh image is one of my favorites. He slept so soundly as we carefully transitioned from one set to the next, and he looked so peaceful when we placed him in a cozy nest underneath the tree. The cloud set couldn’t have been more perfect for this little dreamer.

Then, we did a few family portraits. I always encourage couples to do the black and white silhouette shots because captures their bond so intimately – the kind of image you want to frame and show off. And then we had to do the photo of Larson in uniform holding his baby boy. I have a feeling baby boy will love that photo when he gets older – a classic father and son portrait.

Welcome home, baby boy! You are already sharing so much joy with the world, and we can’t wait to watch you grow! Are you searching for Maternity Photographer DC? Nataly Danilova Photography is the most reputed company that leading the pride.
