Everyone help me in welcoming little Nyra! I was so excited to have her in my studio. She was a photographer’s dream, transitioning so well from pose to pose. Just look at that head of hair! Speaking of mom, when I spoke with her about this session, she let me know she loved my past work. I captured her maternity session when little Nyra here was just a sweet baby bump! Seeing families transition through these various phases of life is such a blessing as photographer. I get to see tiny newborns blossom into teetering toddlers, and happy couples transform into doting parents. What more could I possibly ask for?!
Slumbering Baby Nyra
We started this session resting Nyra on our crescent moon rocker. She slept so soundly, hardly making a peep throughout the entire session. We then moved onto a feminine set-up, lying Nyra in a ring of blush florals. The natural beauty of the flowers truly highlighted Nyra’s lovely femininity. After that we worked with some composites, hanging our little bundle in a nest, showing her as the precious little robin’s egg she is. So cute! Any color we placed next to this little girl instantly highlighted her beauty. Purple, green, blue, pink…They all looked stunning with her complexion.
One of my favorite shots has to be of Nyra lying in a soft bed of curly faux fur. The textural disparity between her soft skin and the rough wooden background brings out such an artistic vibe to this session. Doesn’t she just make you swoon?! Throughout the entire session, we incorporated different floral headbands and caps. I’m not sure which one is my favorite, they’re all so adorable. If I had to pick one though, it would have to be the striped sleeping cap with the pom-pom attached to the end. It made her look like an adorable slumbering elf, tired from a long day’s play.
At the end of the day, we were all very happy with the outcome. Adorable images, a sweet sleepy girl, and a happy mama. I would say it was an absolute success!
