Meet baby Olivia! I always encourage parents to bring in their newborns to me within the first couple of weeks because their looks change so quickly. Dad realized the importance of doing this, and he ordered their session in time to have her in at just 10 days old! Olivia is such a tiny baby at just 6.1 lbs and 21”! I couldn’t believe how tiny her little fingers are toes are! I wanted to capture every detail from her full head of hair, perfect little wrinkles, and pouty lips. A Natural Approach
This family wanted to go with an enchanted theme full of bright colors, flowers, and nature themed props, so that’s exactly what they received! I always love created the sets for these type of newborn sessions because it always me to practice my creativity and get very imaginative with the backdrops. The goal is to always create a magical feel, and that was easy to do with this cutie pie as the main star! I think that my favorite set was when she was sleeping inside of the basket that was hanging down with pastel flowers surrounding her. She looked so peaceful cuddled up in the soft blue material, and the flowered headband was just the perfect touch!
After all of the enchanted images, we decided that we had to do a Christmas scene for the upcoming Holidays! I pulled together a beautiful backdrop with a big Christmas tree, a big teddy bear, and lots of presents of course! Since there was so much going on in this image, I knew that it would be best if we kept things simple where baby Olivia was concerned. Somehow, with all of the props, your eyes still go directly to this little angel! I know that all of their families and friends will want a copy of this one in a Christmas card this year for sure!
