So, technically, this little beauty was no longer a newborn. She visited my studio at one month old, but she was still absolutely perfect for her very first photo session. I like to do newborn sessions between five days and two weeks old, but sometimes life has other plans.  While it may be easier to get true newborn poses during those first couple of weeks, it’s even more important to have photos from that early stage. Creative & Traditional All-in-One Session

And Evelyn Rose’s one-month photos are the perfect example of that. This family wanted creative and beautiful pictures of baby girl in addition to some updated family pictures of mom, dad, and big brother. Evelyn’s mom expressed that she would like to capture the new relationship of big brother and little sister since he is enthralled with her and loves to look at and sit next to baby.

She was right! Even at just two years old, Preston is that absolute best big brother a girl could have. The photos of the two of them are some of my favorites. They are so sweet, and I can’t wait to see their sibling bond blossom over time. If he’s this infatuated with her now, I can only imagine how excited he will be when she is able to interact and play with him.

All that being said, this whirlwind of a session had a little bit of everything: classic newborn poses, feminine themed sets, traditional family portraits, and adorable sibling combinations. Normally, the black and white profile shot just has Mom and Dad forehead to forehead as they gaze upon their new baby, but they included Preston in theirs. Wow! I am obsessed with how it came out. This captures their family beautifully and so authentically. Plus, Preston has the sweetest eyes I have ever seen. I can’t wait to try this combination more often with families with an older sibling. It’s frame worthy, for sure!
