One of the best parts of being a newborn photographer (other than meeting those sweet, brand-new faces and their parents of course) is being able to incorporate fun, imaginative themes. While certain floral themes or cute, miniature props may not be fitting for an older child or adults, babies look so adorable with just about anything. Tiny accents seem to enhance and highlight their precious newborn features even more. Plus, newborns are usually so sleepy that they go right along with whatever you have in mind without making a peep! Are you searching for Maternity Photographer DC? about this newborn session
I had so much fun with this sleepy little guy! He has the perfect name for finding coordinating themes-Hunter Snow! What a handsome name! His mom, Michelle, specifically asked if we could incorporate some images to complement his first and last names, and I couldn’t be more excited to do so! That’s my expertise.
For his first name, Hunter wore a brown hat and slept in the “forest” amongst the animals, trees, and tall grass. We also did quite a few teddy bear photos because he just looked so cute with his ears on. We even transformed baby Hunter into a koala bear. The closeup is just perfect to display in his nursery! Hunter seemed to have already perfected the sleepy smile, and he was so easy to photograph!
For the snow theme, I had a few sets in mind. I love how sweet babies look sleeping in the curve of a quarter moon, so we did a snowy version with a line of knitted pine trees standing below as well as a light and airy night sky scene. But I think the winter wonderland set with Hunter dozing in a tiny tent as snow falls all around is my favorite!
After getting the themed photos in, I made sure to get some simple, classic photos of Hunter with Mom and Dad, too. I know how special newborn portraits are, and I want to provide parents with a versatile collection of images to use for just about any occasion, from birth announcements and holiday cards to nursery décor or a baby book. I had so much fun with these whimsical settings for baby Hunter and his sweet family! Congratulations on the birth of your most precious new addition!
