Here’s a bit of sunshine that is sure to brighten your day! With all of the craziness going on right now, we don’t have many photography sessions going on. But, until all of this passes, I want to share with you some adorable newborn sessions that are sure to make you smile and maybe provide some inspiration if you have a newborn, infant, or milestone photo shoot to plan. This sweet princess visited me when she was just twelve days old, the perfect time for a newborn shoot. To begin her session, we started off with some neutral, classic portraits. The warm brown tones looked so beautiful with her gorgeous complexion. We added a little teddy bear in for good measure, and she snuggled in close. I can’t get over those tiny fingers grasping onto the bear – so precious! I always enjoy getting detail shots like those to help document their newborn features that every parent falls in love with.
Baby Soraya also gave us a big grin, even though she was sound asleep. Her sweet smile helped highlight her chunky cheeks and long lashes. It’s rare to get smiles from a newborn, so I always to my best to capture them right when I see them, no matter what pose they happen to be in. Thankfully, Soraya was swaddled up perfectly when she decided to show off her smile.

Then, we did a few more with white lace and bunny – each one as beautiful as the last. To bring in some color and document the season of her birth, we switched to a set with a wicker basket and cheerful yellow blooms. They complemented her dark hair and added a splash of color and texture to her portraits. These would look great hanging in the nursery or used on birth announcements. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any sweeter, Mom, Dad, and big sister Fatima joined in. Fatima is only three years old, but she did a fantastic job of posing with and holding her baby sister. She is so proud of her new role, and I’ve never seen a preschooler who was quite so careful with a sibling! I can tell she is going to be a great helper for Mom and Dad, and her little sister will love having her as a playmate as they grow up. Capturing their early bond was one of my favorite parts of this session!
