We have had a very long winter this year. To many of us, it feels like spring will never come, and we’re all growing antsy to shed our winter coats and get out in the warm sunshine. My longing for springtime helped me come up with a fun theme for the studio. Cherry blossom season typically happens toward the end of March in DC, but this year the soft pink petals are expected to debut in the middle of April. I am so excited about how it turned out, and I will begin offering this theme to all clients. Starting March 22, clients will also have the option to do a studio + outdoor combination (if weather allows). I always LOVE how the whimsical outdoor maternity sessions come out, and the woodsy environment offers endless possibilities for backdrops. But if you know me, I love some beautiful props and fun studio themes, too. So, I think offering the dual setting will provide the best of both worlds. I can’t wait to get started with those!
For this lovely maternity session, mom-to-be Taciana and her handsome husband are awaiting their baby girl! Taciana looked beautiful in every photo, and each dress she tried on accentuated her bump like it was designed just for her! But my absolute favorite photos are the light and airy ones in front of the window. The natural light streaming in had a way of highlighting Taciana’s glow even more. In addition to the cherry blossoms, we used the yellow flowers and matching gown. Sunshine filled the room! This is the kind of spring that I have been dreaming of for weeks.
I love the photos with her husband by her side, too, because it’s clear that he thinks the world of his stunning bride. Just by watching their eager anticipation as their due date approaches and the love that they have for each other, I can see that these two are going to be the best parents!
