Oh my goodness, just look at this little princess! Baby Thanyaa came to my studio at five weeks old, and she was the most beautiful little baby model. Normally newborn photos are taken around the two-week mark when babies have not quite stretched out yet, and they usually snooze through all of the poses and photography sets. Even though this little angel was at the end of that stage, I was amazed that she still dozed through the entire session and let us get in all of the swaddled photos. Mom wanted some beautiful, colorful photos of her baby girl, so I helped her choose an array of themes and backdrops. I love that this collection is so diverse with shades of dark and light pink, yellow, lavender, violet, green, and even my new floral rainbow tree. Her skin tone and dark hair looked so pretty in all of the different combinations. I especially love the yellow sunflower image – it looks so bright and cheery like a warm ray of sunshine. I also like to reflect the time of year that babies are born in their portraits, so in addition to all of the springtime flowers, we incorporated a whimsical bunny and egg set with baby Thanyaa sleeping soundly on a little wooden doll bed. She looked so precious with her tiny hands framing her sweet face.
I’m also loving the stork set. The water really adds some beautiful texture and realistic dimension to the photo as Thanyaa rests in a snuggly blanket hanging from the large bird’s beak. What a fun photo for a birth announcement!
