Somehow over the years I’ve become an unofficial twin photographer. At times, it seems like I have more families scheduled with twins than with single newborns-I’ve had a twin’s session every week so far! As a mom of twin boys myself, it’s such a special honor for me to meet these families and share our unique experiences. I really love working with twins and showcasing their special bonds with each other. I can imagine how being stuck together in the womb for almost nine months would create the most unbreakable bond. (My boys don’t always get along, but they do have the most fascinating relationship and know each other as well as they know themselves.) Next week, I even have a triplet session scheduled. I can’t wait! Are you searching for Family Photographer DC? Nataly Danilova Photography is the best option for you.
This twin’s session featured a handsome little boy named Paul and his gorgeous sister Anna. They were only ten days old in these photos! These two were just precious. I really wanted to represent Anna and Paul’s closeness through photography so their parents will have these images to look back on as they grow older. With all of the feedings, diaper changes, and short sleep cycles, these days go by in a sleepy blur for most parents. Newborn photos serve as priceless memoirs for this stage. Anna and Paul were born in the fall, so we put them in a little nest surrounded by bright autumn leaves. We added a little pumpkin hat for Paul and a delicate head wreath for Anna. We also included several simple, classic photos of the two siblings snuggling side-by-side and inside a swaddling blanket.
I did Lisa’s maternity session-she looked amazing! At her session, I asked her what she had in mind for their newborn shoot. She mentioned that in addition to the twin photos, she wanted some separate ones to highlight their individual personalities, too, so they won’t always be referred to as “the twins.” They each deserve some portraits on their own. I love the baby bear photo of Paul. And Anna had the most adorable scrunchy-faced photo as she lay wrapped in a purple blanket. Too cute! We also incorporated a few family shots: one of Mom with the babies, one with Dad, and then a couple with the whole family. I try to give my families several styles and combinations to choose from depending on how they want to use them. Are you searching for Baby Photographer DC?
