Little Miss Victoria was perfection for her DC Newborn Session.  She was sweet and snuggly, and a willing participant in the hustle and bustle of the event.  It is not easy being new to the world and thrust into outfits, accessories, interrupted sleep, and learning the ways of the world outside the womb.  We do our best to make the studio an accommodating space for our tiny clients as we capture their early image. Sweet Little Victoria

We captured lots of looks the day of her session and she barely stirred during her wardrobe changes.  She was a trooper.  I just received a shipment from @baby_mini_fotoprops of the adorable matching swaddle/hat sets.  I was so excited to use them and Victoria was a gorgeous model for me the occasion.  She slumbered soundly in the precious matching cream, knit hat and swaddle.  They are really soft and cozy for baby and their sensitive skin.

Our Sweet Sleeper

This little seven pound bundle of joy had the most peaceful expressions.  Mom and Dad must be thrilled about what a sweetheart she was and all of the great images we captured of their newest family addition.  It was fun to capture the essence of being a girly girl in her images.  I love the florals, and pinks and purples that I often get to use when capturing baby girls.  No matter what you may think about it going into the wonderful world of girl, pink inevitably finds its way into your life.  Lots and lots of it.  So it is best to just embrace it.  I loved accessorizing her too.  From draping her in lace to picking out what flower head band or tierra would go best with each set.

Feminine Florals

I like to use something in the sessions that shows off just how tiny newborn babies are.  Tucking Victoria in with some tiny crocheted bunnies was not only adorable but showed off just how tiny she is for them to be the appropriate sized stuffed animal for her to be cuddled up next to.  Although only 14 days old, 7 pounds and 21 inches long, she already had some sweet, squishy baby rolls that everyone find so irresistible.  I loved her sweet little chin dimple too. Victoria was a beautiful little flower princess.  We used florals in almost ever photo set.  From draping them around her, putting them in her hair,  resting her on top of them, to using them in the background of her images, florals of all types were everywhere.  This was so much fun for me.  I love getting to play dress up and use all of my different set pieces during a session to bring a client’s vision to life.  I had a great time as this family’s DC Newborn Photographer.  Their little one was a pleasure and such a beauty.  This DC Baby Session was a lot of fun for me to be a part of.
