Meet Ayaan and Alayana, two twin siblings celebrating their first birthday! These two were some of the sweetest kiddos I’ve worked with, and definitely as cute as can be! I was lucky enough to do a maternity session and newborn session for this family. I love being able to witness the beauty of life from pregnancy to newborn and beyond. Ayaan and Alayana's Cake Smash Session
Ayaan and Alayana’s mom, Rumaisa, is such a caring mama that loves her children to the moon and back. She wants to document each of the important milestones in the twins’ lives, and I don’t blame her! Their family will cherish these photos forever.
Being a parent definitely has it’s challenges, and working while having kids can throw a loop in any plans you may have. My husband and I also found this to be hard, so we put our youngest in daycare at 3 years old. Although it was hard to leave my son, it ended up to be a wonderful experience for all of us. I was amazing at the social and academic knowledge he acquired from some of the amazing teachers he had. Ayaan and Alayana’s parents put them in daycare starting at just 2 weeks old. Sometimes I think the early the better, as it gets them used to being away from mom and dad without any separation anxiety. These two are so happy, friendly and smiley! I loved their little personalities.
A Personal Experience
This session took place in my studio, and I always ask my clients for their opinions, as I want my sessions to be as personable as ever. Rumaisa and her husband had their own separate visions of what they wanted they wanted the session to look like. They could not choose colors for their session. Mom loves blue, red and white, and Dad likes yellow and green. So we decided to use two settings! I loved being able to work with both color schemes, and the twins seemed to love it as well! My favorite part of the session was the cake smash. Ayaan and Alayana had no problem digging into the cake, and it resulted in icing smeared all over their faces. It was precious as they giggled and laughed with one another while eating yummy cake. I had such a blast with this sweet family, and hope to spend more time with them in the future!
