Sometimes I like to post both a maternity and newborn session together because I think the transformation is just so beautiful. Steven and Lucindy first visited my studio a couple months ago to do her maternity shoot. Pregnancy looked gorgeous on her, and she had such a peaceful, confident aura about her. To embrace the beauty of pregnancy and motherhood, Lucindy and Steven wanted to do a romantic, intimate shoot to celebrate both their love and her strength and beauty. The two of them were going into parenthood so excitedly, and they scheduled this shoot to celebrate it.

So, we pulled out the silk and lace wraps and got to work! She looked absolutely stunning with the white angel wings spread out behind her. We also played with silhouettes, textures, and lighting to accentuate and show off her sweet bump. Lucindy looked radiant, and it’s easy to see that Steven is just as enamored with his lovely bride. I love that they were up for doing some intimate, sexy shots with the two of them. This is a sweet part in their love story together as they were about to welcome their daughter into the world, and they took some time to focus on each other.

Sure enough, just a few short weeks later, their wide-eyed princess made her grand debut. They brought her into the studio for her newborn session when she had just reached a month old, and she couldn’t be more precious!

Although I’m sure Steven and Lucindy were exhausted – as the newborn phase doesn’t allow for much sleep – they sure didn’t show it. The two of them looked so happy and at ease with their new family of three.

We put together some sweet and feminine sets for their baby girl, and my favorite is the image of her looking up at us from inside a huge white flower bloom. The image showcases her adorable face, and it’s usually rare to get wide-eyed images like these. Even though she was just a bit past the newborn stage, she was still content throughout her session and happy to comply with all of the curled up and swaddled poses.
