I can’t get enough of newborn sessions! Especially ones with a subject as adorable as David! This one was extra special. If you recall, on one of my last posts, I told you a story of a loving couple, Victoria and Dima. I did a maternity session for them, and now I got to follow that up with the newborn session. It is just beautiful to get to witness the transition from baby bump to completed family! Victoria’s mom flew from Odessa (Ukraine) to see her grandson Davis, and help with the baby! About this Newborn Session
Watching families grow is one of the very best parts of my job. To be a part of the documentation of the love that causes these families to grow in love and numbers is such an incredibly beautiful thing. When I get to see extended family members join in on the family fun, it's just that much better! Just imagine how much love Victoria's sweet mother must have for this sweet boy!
Before we even got started, I was fairly warned that little Davis took after his mommy as a baby and can be a bit fussy. He woke up from every little noise and movement, but luckily we found a trick that helped him stay nice and peaceful. All we had to do was change his diaper every 5 minutes or so. I have to say that it was well worth it because we got some breathtaking shots, and this is one of my favorite sessions to date!
Sweet Davis was born right after Easter, so we knew it would only be right to do Easter post cards for relatives. I think that the best post cards are with your baby because it’s something that family will keep forever!
