Leilani was a beautiful baby. She was such a sweet subject. Whether swaddles and surrounded by florals or dressed in a tiny teddy bear beanie, this little girl was a doll. She was more than happy to cooperate for all of her wardrobe and set changes.. Leilani Fontaine was 13 days old at the time of her session. She looked very mature for a newborn. At the time of her birth she weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Mom, Mylyn, did a great job baking this little turkey. She was a beautiful and healthy little girl. Welcome, Little Leilani
We styled her session with shades of pinks and purples and lots of florals. We also incorporated some holiday themed sets, one for fall and one for winter. We really ran with the fact that she is a little girl.
Leilani slumbered sweetly through the majority of her newborn session. We carefully chose headbands to compliment the sets and swaddles in each image. They looked so great in those lush locks.
I was thrilled to get to use so many of my flower pieces to showcase this beautiful little girl during her Baby Photo Session.. I love the image of her in the round rose decked cradle, hanging from the tree branch. It was like bringing the nursery rhyme, Rockabye Baby, to life. But not to worry, unlike the nursery rhyme, the bough in our studio is super sturdy and our babies never fall. Leilani looked so sweet atop the ruffles and lace, surrounded by roses.
The image of her on the lily pad has a very artistic representation of mother and baby. The way the lily has opened up and shared baby Leilani with the world reminds me of a mother's womb, closing baby off to the world, growing her and keeping her safe until the time is right for baby to blossom on her own.
Sweet Sleepy Eyes
This sweet pea did open her eyes for a split second or two and I was ready! I had to be quick but I was able to snap a few of the brown eyed girl showing off how pretty her peepers are.
I thought it was very smart for mom to request some holiday themed images during their session. Leilani looked adorable as the little brown bear surrounded by baby pumpkins and her winter wonderland was dazzling. These would make great holiday cards!
