Just a few short weeks ago, I did Ashley’s gorgeous maternity photos that you will also see below. She was an absolutely stunning expectant mother, and she radiated happiness as her due date was quickly approaching. I wanted to help her look extra glamorous to celebrate her pregnancy and her beautiful body that was growing a little one inside. We incorporated lots of lace and natural light to highlight both her bump and her perfect pregnancy glow. Her sweet husband joined in on the session, too – we can’t forget the dads! all about Adriana
Sure enough, baby Adriana made her grand debut very soon after that session. I am able to highlight Ashley’s maternity photos and Adriana’s newborn session in the same post! I actually love that I’m able to do them both in a single post because some of the portraits are so symbolic of each other and share the same theme. In one of Ashely’s maternity photos, she wore a white lace dress and held a tiny crown next to her belly. And in one of Adriana’s newborn images, she was wrapped in white lace as a sparkling crown rested gently on her little head. How beautiful would it be to display these two side-by-side?!
Amazingly, sweet Adriana stayed awake for a good portion of her newborn shoot – she didn’t want to miss out on any of the action. She showed off her bright little eyes for several of the photos before finally succumbing to sleep. I love that she had her eyes open for all of the portraits with her parents, though! The photo of her staring up into her father’s eyes as he looked back at her with complete adoration is so very special! And Adriana looked like she was smiling as her mom wrapped her in a warm embrace. There’s no place more comforting than a mother’s arms. Ashley and her husband looked so enchanted with the new bundle of joy.
For the newborn portraits, we did a couple of Adriana resting in a floral wreath hanging from a tree bough. I love these images because they look so peaceful and lovely. Ashley wanted a good balance of soft lavender colors and brighter pinks. This collection has such a great mixture of everything! I enjoyed every minute of each session with this lovely family.
